Applications

  • Trucks, Tippers & Earthmovers: Designed for 24V lead-acid batteries up to 200Ah in heavy transport, tippers, trailers, and earthmoving equipment.
  • Buses & Coach Fleets: Tops up 24V starter batteries at the depot between runs, so coaches are ready for the next shift.
  • Diesel Gensets & DG Sets: Charges and tops up compatible 24V standby start batteries between power outages at factories, hospitals and data centres that rely on genset backup.
  • Cranes & Industrial Equipment: Suitable for compatible 24V lead-acid auxiliary and starting batteries used in overhead cranes and warehouse equipment, within the battery manufacturer's charging specifications.
  • Telecom Towers & BTS Sites: Suitable for compatible 24V VRLA and SMF backup batteries where the charger's output voltage matches the battery manufacturer's charging requirements.
  • Solar Off-Grid & Site Equipment: Suitable for 24V lead-acid banks in solar backup systems and heavy-site construction equipment.
  • Tractors, Harvesters & Farm Equipment: 24V starting batteries on tractors, combine harvesters and agricultural pump sets recharged during the working season.
  • Ambulances, Tempos & School Buses: 24V starter banks on light commercial and passenger fleets topped up between duty cycles at the depot.

How Long Does It Take to Charge?

At a 10A charging current, top-up time depends on how deeply the battery bank is discharged. As a rough guide, recharge time in hours ≈ the amp-hours you need to replace ÷ 10, plus a little for the final absorption stage.

  • A 24V 100Ah bank that is 50% down needs about 50Ah → roughly 5–6 hours.
  • A 24V 150Ah bank that is deeply discharged needs to replace roughly 120Ah → about 12 hours or more.
  • Two 12V batteries wired in series form a 24V bank and charge as one unit on this charger.
  • A single 12V battery, or 12V batteries wired in parallel, needs a 12V charger instead — this is a 24V-only model.

Watch the analog ammeter: as the bank approaches a charged state the charging current normally tapers down. A significant drop can be one indication that charging is nearing completion — follow the battery manufacturer's charging guidance to confirm, and check the battery periodically while it is connected. These are estimates: actual time varies with battery age, temperature and state of charge.

Built-In Protection

  • Reverse-polarity protection — guards the charger if the clamps are connected the wrong way round.
  • Short-circuit protection — shuts down safely on an accidental short across the terminals.
  • Fan-cooled metal body — handles continuous duty in workshop and garage conditions.
