What this 12volt 24volt 30amp battery charger does
The Samco 12V/24V 30 Amp charger is a high-frequency SMPS charger with automatic voltage detection, a variable current dial and a digital ammeter showing live charging current in amps. It selects 12V or 24V output to match the connected battery, so there is no selector switch to set. You set the charging current, and the display shows what is actually being drawn.
It is aimed at anyone who services both voltages — 12V car and inverter batteries one hour, 24V truck or forklift banks the next — rather than keeping two separate chargers or setting a switch between jobs. A commonly used guideline is around 10% of battery capacity as the charging current, and the battery manufacturer's recommended charging current should always take priority.
This charger is for 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries and banks only. It is not intended for 36V or 48V systems.
