The Samco 12V 24V 15A is an automatic SMPS battery charger for 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries — car, tubular inverter, truck, tractor, forklift, solar, and DG set. Unlike fixed-output chargers, it auto-detects battery voltage (12V or 24V), controls output current from 0 to 15 Amps via a 6-step knob, and operates in two modes: Boost (fast charge and dead battery recovery) and Float (battery maintainer for indefinite safe connection). A live digital ammeter shows real-time charging current at all times.
SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) technology makes this charger lighter and more efficient than transformer-based chargers. The wide input range of 160–280V AC is designed specifically for India's fluctuating grid voltage. Compatible with lead-acid, tubular, flat-plate, SMF, VRLA, and GEL batteries from 4Ah to 200Ah. Connect the Clamps
Charger powered off. Red clamp to battery positive (+), black clamp to negative (–). Reverse polarity protection is built in, but avoid reverse connection.
Set Switch to BOOST
Flip the FCBC switch to BOOST. This activates the full charging current output. Float mode alone will not charge a dead or low battery — Boost is required.
Start at Low Current (1–3A)
Turn the 6-step knob to the lowest position. Low current prevents thermal stress on a deeply discharged battery and allows voltage to build up gradually.
Increase Current Gradually
Once the ammeter shows steady acceptance, increase the knob. Car & inverter batteries: 6–10A. Truck & industrial (100Ah+): up to 15A. Tractor: 5–8A.
Ammeter → 0A = Battery Full
Current drops automatically as the battery fills (CC/CV taper). When the ammeter reads near 0A, charging is complete. No timer needed — the ammeter tells you.
Switch to FLOAT for Maintenance
